Founder and CEO
As a spirits entrepreneur, McCauley founded Alma del Jaguar with a unique vision: to create an exceptional tequila that celebrates tradition while supporting conservation efforts. Inspired by his uncle Rick Williams' work with the Northern Jaguar Project, McCauley built a brand where quality and purpose go hand in hand.

Patriarch of the 5th generation Vivanco tequila family, Sergio oversees one of the most renowned distilleries in the industry. The Vivanco family has cultivated agave in the highlands of Jalisco for generations, with a deep-rooted philosophy that "true flavor comes from the earth." Their commitment to sustainable practices and traditional methods makes them the perfect partner for Alma del Jaguar.

Master Distiller
As master distiller at NOM 1414, Sergio Cruz brings decades of expertise to Alma del Jaguar. His meticulous approach to the craft ensures that every batch maintains the highest standards of quality. From the slow-cooking process in traditional brick ovens to the artisanal aging in oak barrels, Sergio oversees every step with precision and passion.
Through his dedication to traditional methods and sustainable practices, Sergio helps create a tequila that honors both the land it comes from and the cause it supports.

At Alma del Jaguar, tequila begins with the earth—and we're dedicated to protecting it.
From our 100% recycled Mexican glass bottles and agave fiber labels to repurposed cork closures and recycled cardboard cartons, every element of our packaging is designed with sustainability in mind. By sourcing materials from suppliers within just 85 miles of our distillery, we not only reduce our environmental footprint but also support local businesses.

Rooted in Conservation
Alma del Jaguar was inspired by the conservation work of Rick Williams, our founder's uncle. As a wildlife photographer who moved to Mexico in the '90s to study wild jaguars, Rick co-founded the Northern Jaguar Project, a bi-national effort to preserve and recover the world's northernmost population of wild jaguars.
This deep family connection to jaguar conservation shaped our mission: to create an exceptional tequila that raises awareness and support for these magnificent creatures while honoring the traditions of Mexican tequila production.

About Morningside Brands
Morningside Brands, Inc. is the newest venture of spirits entrepreneur McCauley Williams. Founded to build a mission-based portfolio of spirits that are handcrafted, sustainably produced, and developed to raise awareness and impact for selected causes. The Morningside Brands team consists of some of the industry's leading luxury spirits experts. Alma del Jaguar is the first brand in the portfolio to be released.
About NOM 1414
Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados, S.A. de C.V., which is better known as NOM 1414, is one of the most renowned distilleries in the tequila industry. The distillery is known for its integrity and family values. Since 1929, the Vivanco family has meticulously crafted exceptional tequila, maintaining one of the largest agave ranches in Los Altos, Jalisco, where plants thrive at elevations exceeding 6,800 feet.
